Since I was a child I have had three passions: drawing, nature and crafting. These passions were encouraged by my environment: the French countryside, surrounded by fields and forests. I could draw birds, insects, trees and make things with natural elements such as sticks, leaves, mud and alike. I could observe animals, explore nature with my siblings and develop my curiosity, my observation skills and my creativity. I had my first pet when in my teenage years while I was very ill and couldn’t go to school. My dog was a big support in my life, I was not alone during the day, she made an enormous difference in our family life.
It was in my early thirties that I decided to change my career. I wanted a job which made sense for me and wanted it to be creative, creativity is very important for my well-being. Furthermore, I wanted a job which would nourish my love for animals. Becoming a pet portrait artist has allowed me to link all of my skills and needs together. I have followed many art courses (we never stop learning!) the final one has allowed me to become a professional accredited pet portrait artist.
My style is realism, I focus on the personality of the pet and show it in my portraits. Pets are more than just pets: they are support, friends and family. They deserve a painting/drawing which shows their character in daily life. If pets are not any longer with their beloved owners, portraits bring owners cherished memories.
Thank you for choosing me as your pet portrait artist.
